Just to add to the 30 something pairs I already have. (Yet I keep wearing the same old pair or two the whole time!) People ask me about my dancing shoes a lot. We’re all on the hunt for the perfect pair. But really, for me, it depends on the floor I’m dancing on, the music, how I’m feeling that day energy and mood wise, the sound and style I’m going for in the dance etc. Some days I love a certain pair for their sound and then I’ll put them on a month later and they’re just not the right choice. Sometimes I come back to an old pair of shoes from 5 years ago that I’ve given up on and suddenly they’re exactly what I’m looking for! So what I’m trying to say to you dancers out there is there’s no perfect shoe! Not for me anyway. But keep experimenting. I find it hard to get a beautiful shoe that’s light and has a good sole. I. Never buy “dancing shoes”. I get regular shoes and adjust them to my liking. My friend Charlie in this video is working on some shoes for me and making a dance floor too. (He’s amazing! I can ask him anything, no matter how challenging or crazy and he just says sure no problem!🙌) I’m getting a wooden heel and toe on. I LOVE having a wooden heel. I’m quite a light dancer and don’t really like having to dance hard to get sound out so the wooden heels are really effective for me. I also have a little bubble on the inner heel so that when I click my heels together they connect easily. Sin é! Hope that’s of some help to you damhseoirí. 👠👠
