Sunday 26th March saw the premiere of Áirc Damhsa latest creation at the Hawk’s Well Theatre, Sligo. Directed, choreographed and produced by the 19 youths with mentoring by Edwina Guckian, they were joined by musicians Cathy Jordan, Ryan Molloy, Stephen Doherty, Martin Brunsden, David Doocey & Fergal Scahill.
‘Becoming Different’ is a celebration of everything that makes us different; the small and not so small things that define us from one person to the next. The 19 youths from Áirc Damhsa Culture Club take a look at themselves, the challenges they face because of their distinctive traits and the differences they make to each other and the world in which they live.
